Web development. Exterity IPTV
Exterity Ltd is an IP infrastructure development company with its flagship range of products dedicated to enabling TV signal to be translated and distributed over standard IP networks through buildings. Exterity’s presence on the web is becoming a crucial factor for sales, marketing and customer care. Visibility of the website on the major search engines is becoming a key factor in the present competitive environment.
In order to obtain a professional advice on improvements that are required for the website the Exterity Ltd had employed a specialist search engine optimisation advisors – BigMouthMedia. BigMouthMedia has conducted its studies and produced a detailed report. We have studied the report that appears to be a good report which we can further enhance. Additionally, Exterity Ltd wished to integrate a content management system (CMS) in order to manage site independently. It has been noted that both tasks (Search engine optimisation and content management system implementation) had to be rolled out together, as the optimisation work to be implemented on the actual content, therefore both actions are complimentary to each other.
Defined Goals:
- To implement recommendations as defined in the report (Exterity Technical Strategy August LKD 06 CL.pdf) to improve search engine ranking and therefore increase organic traffic to the website.
- To roll-out and to configure a content management system to match the present website design for easy online updating and content management.
- To train a member(s) of Exterity Ltd personnel on how to use the content management system.
Scope of work:
- To install the CMS on a suitable web hosting server.
- Configure website templates to match the current design.
- Optimise templates as per recommendations of Bigmouthmedia.
- Populate content of the website.
- To optimise parameters of each page as per recommendations of Bigmouthmedia.
- Transfer registration and other forms.
- Test, present and commission.
- Train personnel.
At a later date we've also re-designed the public interface as follows:
