Publishers' Sales Reports System.

Transdata International Ltd. has developed a Publishers sales reporting system (P.H.A.S.T. -Reports) for a group of UK publishers with WAN connection to a distributor's server. The application connects to the server, gets authentication, downloads and consolidates data in to the local database and is ready to generate reports (pre-set and custom built). Powerful, yet easy-to-use application to allow users with little computer experience building reports and tracking sales. The proposed system is being built with Internet technologies allowing for instant switch to be Internet based system once the business transfers to the Internet. Technologies/languages used: VB, COM+, JAVA, XML, HTML for pages display and is not dependent on other applications such as Access. The software is available both in desktop and server versions. Three versions are offered:
VERSION 1. - Nine most essential table reports: * Detailed Title Sales Analysis * Stock Movement Report by Title * Customer Sales by Rep. * Dues Report * Dues Exclusion Reports * Summary Title Sales Report * Returns Report * Free Issue Report * Invoice Register
VERSION 2. * 9 pre-configured table reports * selected pre-configured chart reports * Custom table report Wizard (unlimited table reports can be created) * Custom chart report Wizard (unlimited chart report can be created)
VERSION 3. (Data warehouse) * All features as version 2, plus: * Automatic Batch reports (generation and printing sets of reports) * Compare various distribution channels * Mathematical sales evaluation and forecasting.
Optional integration with Sage is offered. The package has been successfully installed and tested with one of the publishers.
