In essense many of our projects are e-commerce related in some way or another. However, for this chapter we would show one purely e-commerce work: a video games store.

This e-commerce application is rather an integration project, that unites a store, credit card clearing facility and a distribution warehouse in to a single (ERP-style) system for a dropshipping vendor.

The 'Video Games Action' site features:

• A searchable web site / catalogue of games for various consoles;
• Multiple Product Options.
• Multiple Delivery Options and each Product can have additional Delivery charges.
• Bulk Discounts set different prices depending upon how much quantity your customer orders.
• Comprehensive Discount System offer discounts such as coupon codes, repeat customers, buy X get Y for free, etc.
• Multiple Currencies.
• Automatic Stock Control of the online shop automatically manages the stock levels.
• Credit / debit card clearing facility (integration with Nochex facility).

The way the given e-commerce facility works is as follows:

1. We receive a stock list (XLS file) from the distributors warehouse.
2. The list is uploaded to the online (SQL) database.
3. The purchase is being authorised by the Nochex.
4. Notification (shipping note) is being issued to the distributor's warehouse.
