Subject:
Development of a new searchable interactive website (as per interactive presentation). The purpose of such development is to exploit the Internet as a tool for marketing of all products of the distributor and establishing the electronic order processing for dealers (and public in the near future).

Future developments consideration:
(Stage 2 and 3). The database and the business logic code has been designed with considerations of a future development to become an online customer relationships management system.

The task of Transdata International Ltd was to incorporate the design and to create a database-driven content/application as per preliminary specification below:

• The database and functionality of the site should be built in a such way that it can be expanded in the future without major re-development according to the following plan:
• Stage 1. (current task) Searchable online database, with “public” (open), “dealer” and “media” (password protected) areas.
• Stage 2. (future development) Inclusion of all sales records and expenses to the database, ability to create various sales reports and outputs for analysis.
• Stage 3. (future development) Inclusion of stock records, integration with Sage. Integration of an online shop for general public.
• The site should have a password protected Content Management System, where any authorised member of the company will able to add/remove/edit Brands, Areas, Types of products, Products and their status and descriptions, Products images, Dealers and their parameters, General static pages of the website (e.g. Contact, About us, etc.etc.)
